Pathogenetic justification of the use of nitrogen monoxide in the Alpha no apparatus
Exogenous nitrogen oxide of plasma-chemical genesis is contained in a low-temperature gas stream generated by our Alfano apparatus from atmospheric air.The therapeutic effectiveness of this method is based on the properties of endogenous nitrogen monoxide discovered at the end of the 20th century as a multifunctional physiological regulator and is as follows:
normalization of microcirculation due to vasodilation, antiplatelet and anticoagulation action NO
bactericidal action NO
induction of bacterial phagocytosis by neutrophils and macrophages
improvement of nerve conduction
stimulation of fibroblast activity
induction of cytokines, T – lymphocytes and immunoglobulins
direct induction of fibroblast proliferation, vascular growth.
NO therapy is a factor of pronounced stimulation of wound healing. The proposed method of using exogenous nitrogen monoxide is called EXOGENOUS NO therapy.
The main mechanisms and ways of influence of NO therapy on pathological processes:
Direct bactericidal action
Mediated bactericidal action (through the formation of peroxynitrite)
Induction of bacterial phagocytosis and necrotic detritus by neutrophils and macrophages
Inhibition of free oxygen radicals
Activation of antioxidant protection
Normalization of microcirculation due to vasodilation
Antiplatelet and anticoagulation effect – improves vascular trophic and tissue metabolism
Improvement of nerve conduction
Regulation of immune disorders characteristic of wound pathology
Direct induction of fibroblast proliferation and protein synthesis
Enhancement or regulation of collagen synthesis
Regulation of apoptosis during remodeling of granulation-fibrous tissue
Effects on keratinocyte proliferation and wound defect epithelialization
NO diffuses not only through the wound surface, but also through intact skin, mucous membranes, cornea and sclera of the eye, which opens up the possibility of exposure of NO–containing gas streams to deeply located affected tissues in vascular pathology, diseases of the nervous system, chronic inflammatory and sclerotic processes.
Protocol: the duration of the procedure is from 30 seconds to 5 minutes, depending on the area of the wound surface. The number of procedures is from 3 to 10, depending on the severity of the inflammatory reaction and the area of the wound surface.
Modes:
low level — superficial wounds,
medium - wounds with an inflammatory process that engulfs the skin, tissue,
high — skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscle-fascial component, bone tissue.
